Projects: Gateway Plaza Takes Shape
The project is sited in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. An iconic multilevel building is rising above the Town Centre and giving a much needed shot-in-the-arm to the local building landscape.
ESL is contracted to supply and install the many different facades on the modern design. The solution is at the forefront of engineering, environmental and sustainable construction methods. ESL are rapidly “closing” the various elevations using Envirosips pre-engineered panels which immediately weather the buildings and ensure a much quicker installation time and allowing internal works to commence earlier. Over 5000 square meters of Envirosips insulated panel will be used on the project which gives excellent thermal performance and hence ensuring a far more environmentally friendly development.
ESL’s through wall solutions for Gateway Plaza include the Envirosips panels with four different rainscreen facade finishes fixed directly to the flat panel surface.
These include ceramic tile systems:
Vulcan-Grey Tile and Terracotta Tile
flat metal insulated composite panels: Prisma Silver Metallic and Pegasus Green Flat Metal Panels.
When Gateway Plaza is completed it will have an overall height of 46m and feature state of the art offices and commercial facilities and 168 individual residences.
